The No Pile

rejected sheet choices

My daughter is a climber.  Two weeks ago she summited her changing table and bookcase, and it won’t be long before Mt. Crib is checked off her to-do list.  So, in preparation for that accomplishment, my husband and I recently bought a twin bed for her.

I’ve been shopping for twin sheets, and I was thinking of going with a vintage look.  In my thorough search I ran across some truly unique sheets.

Here are the ones I’m keeping in the “No Pile”:

Poodle Power- Well, at least “Fee Fee” is hypoallergenic.

Peter Max- I’m actually a fan of his work, but I’m a little hesitant to have my daughter on sheets that resemble a acid trip.

Coors- Now if I find some PBR sheets, then we’ll talk.

New Kids on the Block- Ah, the memories.  I wish these came in Queen size as a Christmas present for my sister.  (Since these are “vintage,”  how many times do you think the previous owner(s) kissed them?)

Ronald MacDonald-  The food purist in me must tell you that the road to Type 2 diabetes is paved with melted down golden arches.  There, I said it.

And so, my search will continue……

Made me think of my Holly Hobbie sheets! My moth in law just pulled a BRAND NEW set from her attic, still in wrapper, of Star Wars! SO cool! Not crackin those open!

Irene- Hey there! If you go on Etsy and look at “vintage twin sheets,” you will see all of the old sheets we had as kids (Holly Hobby, Raggedy Anne). It was a lot of fun looking at them all, kind of like opening a time capsule. My husband is from Germany and had none of these sheets, so he had to suffer through me reminiscing with every click. What a find on the Star Wars sheets!
